about loadlr
Loadlr is a tool I wrote for myself. I played, I loaded vans, and I spent years running a band on WhatsApp, Google Calendar, a shared expenses app and a Notion nobody ever opened. I'm a developer. I ended up writing the app I wished I'd had. The promise is simple: get admin out of the way so the music can come back to the front.
There's one person behind Loadlr: me. That means it's sometimes slow, priorities move, and when you write, I'm the one who answers. I'm building the tool I wanted: one that stays readable in a venue with rough wifi, doesn't lock your data into a proprietary format, and doesn't require an MBA to understand splits.
the problem we solve
A band that plays is five people coordinating across eight different tools. The calendar on WhatsApp, expenses on Google Sheets, setlists in Notion, files in Dropbox, rehearsals over SMS, and three Telegram groups that contradict each other. Nobody ever knows who paid for gas on the last trip, who confirmed the club date, or where the right mix of the single lives. The drummer misses rehearsal because it was moved on Discord. Everyone burns fifteen minutes a day hunting down information that already exists - somewhere. It's not a tech problem, it's an attention problem. Every minute spent searching is a minute not spent playing.
how I build
Your data belongs to you. Nothing is sold, nothing is locked into a proprietary format, and everything is shared inside the band - no single member owns the data.
The app stays readable without a network. Most venues don't have decent wifi, so the night's schedule, the rider, the contacts and the balances stay on screen. Changing something, on the other hand, needs a connection.
Splits are even or custom, member by member. No accountant vocabulary, no checkboxes nobody understands.
The beta is free and nothing is charged - no payment method is asked for. The core will stay free with no member limit. The rest should land around €5/month for the whole band, per band and never per seat. Bands who test the beta will keep €3/month for life.
